The VAMS studio at GF Strong features state-of-the-art electronics, equipped and designed so that people with significant disabilities have complete access to music-making. This is possible because of two key factors: trained technical staff and adaptive equipment that allows involvement by people of any level of physical ability.
Firstly, we have a studio engineer on hand to make sure that musicians spend their time concentrating on their music rather than on how to operate the equipment. And our equipment is designed to allow involvement by everyone, no matter what the level of their disability. For instance, “high quad” users can make use of sip ‘n’ puff controls that can be used to drive keyboards, electronic drums and other instruments that allows them to build whole tracks note by note, beat by beat.
