Richard Quan is the youngest member of VAMS. He was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy at age three, and has had to develop his own adaptive equipment to allow him to perform.

Richard picked up his first guitar in 2012 and had his first breakout performance three months later. He has already made a name for himself as a blues musician and is the lead guitarist in his own band. His performances serve to inspire other young people with various disabilities to follow their dreams.
