STRONG X CONCERT SERIES
All the talent of the Strong Sessions in a casual, laid-back setting
The Vancouver Adapted Music Society is trying something a little different this summer. Introducing the Strong X Concert Series!
Building off our flagship Strong Sessions concerts, this series of four concerts will feature two VAMS musicians performing original and cover material in stripped down, intimate performances. Each 2½ hour show will feature two VAMS artists performing their original material as well as cover songs that span many genres, from folk and bluegrass to blues and rock & roll.
Strong X got off to a fantastic start on June 2nd with performances by Simon Paradis and Jeff Standfield in the lobby of the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, one of Vancouver’s most recognizable music venues. Continuing the fun, on July 26th Mark Ash and Kristina Shelden brought their rock/pop sound to the stage at CBC Studio 700.
Join us September 13, at CBC’s Studio 700, for StrongX Four, the last show in our summer concert series (for now)!
One attendee had this to say:
"We thoroughly enjoyed the music. Fantastic writers, musicians & beautiful voices. Your 1st band had incredible songs... Beauty Of Sound & Wise Old Tree were just fantastic! Your beautiful hearts connected to your music and your musician family are so appealing. We were tearing up with emotions with those two songs. Thank you for sharing your passion :)"
Don’t miss out! Go to the VAMS Facebook page to reserve your spot! Entry by donation at the door.
Vancouver Adapted Music Society supports and promotes musicians with physical disabilities in the Metro Vancouver area. We support VAMS musicians by:
Operating Canada's only fully-accessible recording studio,
Helping artists to release CDs
Facilitating the creation of music videos
Through the programs we offer and the artists we support, accessibility is the key to everything we do. We give participants the opportunity to explore and discover their musical inspirations and talents.
Whether you want to learn to make music or sing, compose your own original songs, record or produce an album, or build performance skills, with VAMS there is an opportunity that’s right for you!
